Today was pure magic out on the 9-Mile Bank!
We spent the morning surrounded by 5 humpback whales, including a trio traveling together and a couple of solo humpbacks mingling in the mix. Guests were treated to multiple lunge-feeding events, and one of the smaller humpbacks surprised everyone with a close-range lunge feed right off our starboard side!
The ocean was alive with life with 300+ long-beaked common dolphins, large pods of hundreds of dolphins spread across the bank, playful California sea lions, and tons of seabirds diving through the bait ball action.
And to top it all off?
A rainbow arcing across the horizon as we wrapped up the encounter, the perfect ending to a gorgeous day offshore.
