Yesterday’s trips took us far south—18 miles offshore, skimming the edge of Mexican waters—in search of wildlife, and the ocean more than delivered. Under bright blue skies and on glassy, calm seas, we cruised past flocks of seabirds and pods of playful dolphins before encountering something extraordinary.
We had heard reports of fin whales in the area, never saw the fin whales on the morning trip. However, the real surprise was when a massive blue whale emerged from the depths, its teal glow shimmering beneath the surface. It was an incredible treat to witness the largest animal on Earth in such a remote, pristine stretch of ocean.
On our sunset trip, the magic continued—three blue whales and one fin whale graced the horizon, their exhalations glowing gold in the late-day light. It was one of those rare days when the ocean felt endless, wild, and alive.
At Wild Pacific Whale Watch, we go the extra nautical mile—literally—to give our guests unforgettable encounters like these. Yesterday, we crossed into waters where the Pacific feels untouched, and the whales reminded us why we love what we do.
